JoAnne Boykin Thurston "Sapphyrebleu"

She, with raw talent and spiritual guidance, a Washington, DC native, Mom/GraMa, challenged all odds to become an inspiring actress, writer, singer, lyricist, liturgical dancer, seamstress and ex-radio host.

She volunteers for Community Outreach as a member of Kingdom Life Community Outreach, Darryl Hairston II Crime Victim Unit; Against Gun Violence & Forms of Abuse, Back to Basic Music Ministries for the Homeless, and a list of others who seek the same mission of community empowerment and development. She has been featured on TV One Network as well as many local theatre and film productions in the DMV. God stepped in, revealed gifts to her that allowed her to brighten someone's day or simply let them know that they are not alone. She feels blessed and honored to be able to share those gifts from her soul. In every script there is a lesson or moral that can be learned, taught or maybe the chance to allow some good humor to get us through it all is her mantra.
